'Adina is a biblical Hebrew masculine name meaning "delicate" or "refined." In the Old Testament it is borne by a Reubenite warrior counted among King David's mighty men. A separately spelled feminine Hebrew name comes from the same root. Because the biblical bearer is minor, the masculine form has remained rare and has few widely known modern namesakes.
