Aditi is a Sanskrit name meaning “boundless, entire” or “freedom, security,” derived from the negative prefix अ (a) and दिति (diti), meaning “giving.” It is also the name of a Hindu goddess associated with the cosmos, motherhood, and fertility, who in the Vedas is described as the mother of several gods.
