Aeronwen is a Welsh feminine name combining Aeron with gwen, the feminine form of an element meaning “white,” “fair,” or “blessed.” Aeron is the name of a river in Wales and may derive from an ancient Brittonic divine or river name, but its deeper etymology is uncertain.
