Yoruba name meaning "father has returned," from baba "father" and tunde "returns," traditionally given to a boy born into the family shortly after the death of a grandfather. Nigerian lawyer and politician Babatunde Fashola (1963-), who served two terms as governor of Lagos State, is a well-known bearer.
