Daniele is the Italian masculine form of Daniel and is also occasionally used for women elsewhere. It derives from Hebrew Daniyyel, meaning “God is my judge,” and is associated with the biblical prophet Daniel. Italian footballer Daniele De Rossi and novelist Daniele Del Giudice are notable bearers.
