Ebba is a Scandinavian feminine name, probably derived from the Old English name Æbbe or from Germanic names beginning with Eber-, “boar.” It was borne by early British saints and later became especially established in Sweden and Denmark. Swedish singer Ebba Forsberg and writer Ebba Witt-Brattström are notable bearers.
