'Eli'ezer is a scholarly transliteration of the Hebrew name אֱלִיעֶזֶר, more commonly written Eliezer in English. It combines elements meaning “my God” and “help,” yielding “my God is help.” Several figures bear the name in the Hebrew Bible, including Abraham’s servant in later Jewish tradition and a son of Moses.
