Enikő is a Hungarian feminine name created by poet Mihály Vörösmarty in the nineteenth century. He based it on Enéh, the name of a legendary ancestral mother in Hungarian tradition, and the diminutive suffix gives it the sense “little Enéh.” Hungarian politician Enikő Győri and model Enikő Mihalik are notable bearers.
