Enyo

Enyo is an ancient Greek feminine name of uncertain etymology. In Greek mythology, Enyo is a goddess or personification of destructive warfare, often accompanying Ares and associated with the tumult of battle and the sacking of cities. Roman writers sometimes identified her with Bellona. The same spelling can also occur independently in West African contexts, particularly among Ewe speakers, where it should not automatically be assigned the Greek mythological origin. Prominent exact-name modern bearers are limited.
