Fulvia

Fulvia is the feminine form of the ancient Roman family name Fulvius. The name is traditionally connected with Latin fulvus, meaning “tawny,” “yellow,” or “golden-brown,” though Roman family-name etymologies are not always certain. Its best-known historical bearer was Fulvia, an influential Roman political figure and wife of Mark Antony who participated actively in late Republican power struggles. A notable modern bearer was Italian actor Fulvia Franco, crowned Miss Italy in 1948.
