Meaning and history
Kamila is the feminine form of Kamil in several Slavic languages and a regional counterpart of Camilla. Its deeper origin is usually connected with the ancient Roman family name Camillus, a term for a young ceremonial attendant. Polish athlete Kamila Skolimowska and Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva are notable bearers.
