Meaning and history
Mika has several independent uses. In Finnish it is a short form of Mikael, meaning "who is like God?"; in Japanese it can be written with different kanji and therefore carries several possible meanings. It is used for both sexes internationally. Notable bearers include Finnish racing driver Mika Häkkinen and British-Lebanese singer Mika, born Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr.
