Meaning and history
Noel is the English form of Noël and, more rarely, Noëlle, and is sometimes written with the French diaeresis. It was fairly popular in the mid-20th-century United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand; British musician Noel Gallagher (1967–) is a famous bearer.
Noel moved from #434 to #478 for boys between 2024 and 2025. Its highest annual birth count came in 2014, with 901 births.
