Meaning and history
Odelia has more than one proposed origin. It may be a feminine form of the Germanic name Odo, associated with “wealth” or “fortune,” and it is also used as a modern Hebrew name interpreted as “I will thank God.” Israeli singer Odelia Dahan and American composer Odelia Blumenthal are notable bearers.
Odelia moved from #769 to #841 for girls between 1909 and 1910. Its highest annual birth count came in 1907, with 29 births.
