Roza is a form of Rosa used in Polish, Russian, Bulgarian, Georgian, and several other languages. It ultimately comes from Latin rosa, meaning “rose,” and belongs to the long tradition of flower names in Europe. Polish artist Róża Etkin and Russian revolutionary Roza Shanina are notable bearers.
