Tali has several uses. In Hebrew it is commonly understood as “my dew,” from tal, “dew,” with a possessive ending, and is used mainly as a feminine name. In English and other languages it may instead shorten Natalia, Talitha, or similar names, producing unrelated origins. The intended meaning therefore depends on the bearer. Notable bearers include Israeli filmmaker Tali Shalom-Ezer and British artist and model Tali Lennox. Hebrew spelling confirms the traditional interpretation.
