It probably combines tuile, “abundance,” with flaith, “ruler,” “sovereign,” or “princess.” An early saint of this name was an abbess of Kildare. Talulla should be distinguished from Tallulah, the English name associated with waterfalls in Georgia and uncertain Indigenous American etymology.
