Meaning and history
Tirzah comes from the Hebrew name תִּרְצָה (Tirtsa), meaning “favourable.” In the Old Testament, it is the name of one of Zelophehad’s daughters and also a place name, referring to the early residence of the kings of the northern kingdom.
In 2025, 62 babies were recorded with the name Tirzah, ranking #2,751 among girls.
