Vikki is a modern English spelling variant of Vicki or Vicky, diminutives of Victoria. Victoria is the Latin word for “victory” and was also the Roman personification and goddess of victory. Queen Victoria’s long nineteenth-century reign gave the name powerful British royal and historical associations. The doubled k is stylistic and does not alter the origin. Notable bearers include American singer Vikki Carr and Scottish actor and comedian Vikki Stone.
