Zsolt is a Hungarian masculine name, traditionally connected with the old Hungarian name Solt and possibly derived from the title sultan through Turkic contact. Its exact early etymology remains uncertain. Zsolt was borne by a tenth-century Hungarian prince, the son of Grand Prince Árpád, giving it importance in early Hungarian history.
