Laëtitia is the original Latin form of Letitia and also a French variant. The name began to grow in popularity in France around the time Serge Gainsbourg released his 1963 song Elaeudanla Téïtéïa, whose title phonetically renders the letters of Lætitia, and it reached its peak in 1982 as the fourth most common girls’ name.
