Meaning and history
Milena is the feminine form of Milan and may also be understood in Italy as a combination of Maria and Elena. Its Italian use began in honor of Milena Vukotić (1847–1923), mother of Helen of Montenegro, who married King Victor Emmanuel III.
Milena moved from #785 to #950 for girls between 2024 and 2025. Its highest annual birth count came in 2019, with 428 births.
