Tiffany developed from the medieval English form of Theophania, a Greek name meaning “manifestation of God,” and was traditionally given to girls born around the Christian feast of Epiphany. The modern spelling became widely familiar through the jeweller Tiffany & Co. and Truman Capote’s novella Breakfast at Tiffany’s, though neither created the name. Notable bearers with this spelling include American Paralympic athlete Tiffiny Carlson and Australian television personality Tiffiny Hall.
